Toyota's all-new available safety and security service, Safety Connect,1 can provide assistance with a variety of unexpected on-road incidents -- helping to keep you on course and to lend peace of mind along the way.

Available first on the 3rd generation Prius,2 Safety Connect rests on a solid foundation of built-in cellular and GPS technology and is designed to provide the essential services needed to help extend increased confidence on the road.

Safety Connect is available by subscription, with an included 1-year trial3 offered on all purchases of new Prius vehicles equipped with the service. Land Cruiser and 4Runner vehicles will also soon offer Safety Connect.

Toyota's dedicated Safety Connect response center agents are available to provide support 24 hours a day -- every day of the year.

The four features provided with a Safety Connect subscription are:
  • Automatic Collision Notification
  • Stolen Vehicle Location
  • Emergency Assistance Button (SOS)
  • Roadside Assistance

Here's a closer look at what each Safety Connect feature provides:

Automatic Collision Notification
This feature will help you receive the necessary emergency response in case of an airbag deployment or a severe rear-end collision. The response center is automatically notified, the answering agent receives critical information from the vehicle and can help to send the emergency support you need.

Stolen Vehicle Location
Rest assured with this extra level of security. In the event that your Toyota vehicle is stolen, after you have filed a police report our response center agents can assist the authorities in tracking your vehicle using the on-board cellular and GPS technology. A valuable extra benefit: this Safety Connect subscription feature may lead to an insurance discount.

Emergency Assistance Button (SOS)
Displayed as the SOS button in your vehicle, you can push this anytime you need help with emergencies -- such as medical concerns, accidents or other unexpected incidents. Whatever the on-road emergency, you can easily reach a response center agent to get help.

Roadside Assistance
If you encounter problems on the road, the Safety Connect response center is available for roadside assistance 24 hours a day via the SOS button. A representative can help dispatch aid for a wide range of needs, such as towing, jump start, flat tire, fuel delivery, etc. And with this service, you no longer have to rely on additional membership organizations for roadside coverage.
